General Policies
· All individuals entering the facility must sign-in at the membership desk. Members must present their membership cards to the front desk personnel upon entering the facility and while in the facility, members must display their membership card. Guests must sign-in at the membership desk, pay appropriate fee, and display their guest cards while in the facility.
· Class and sports league participants must check-in at the membership desk.
· Members must not loan their membership cards to anyone. Allowing another person to use your card for any purpose will result in loss of your membership privileges with no refund. Lost cards should be reported immediately. There is a $5.00 replacement charge for lost cards.
· Use of profanity, inappropriate behavior, abusive action, vandalism, and theft is prohibited. Defacing or destruction of property or equipment will result in loss of membership privileges and prosecution.
· Use of tobacco products is strictly prohibited within the facility.
· To use, be in possession of, or to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs on MACC premises is against the law; we will consider it a police matter.
· Children ages 12 and under must be supervised by a person at least 16 years of age, unless enrolled in a MACC class or program.
· Shirts and shoes are required throughout the building, except in the locker room. Only athletic shoes with non-marking soles are permitted in the gymnasium, aerobic studio, racquetball courts, and fitness center.
· Food and beverages must be consumed in the lobby area, snack room, and game room only.
· Disobeying staff will result in ejection from the facility. There will be no refund due to ejection.
· Guests do not need to be accompanied by a member and will be required to register and pay. Identification may be requested.
· MACC does not carry personal activity accident insurance for members. We recommend that members and guests purchase their own if they are not covered under family or employment policies.
· The Center has the right to cancel a class/program due to insufficient registration.
· MACC will be closed on the following holidays: New Years Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
· On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the Center will close at 3:00 PM.
Game Room Policies:
· Machines are not to be shaken, kicked or vandalized.
· Members and guests must sign out equipment for game room tables.
· Equipment must be returned to the membership desk upon completion of play or upon
leaving the facility.
Fitness Center Policies:
· Individuals must be at least 13 years of age to enter the fitness center.
· Members and guests are encouraged to sign-up for an orientation prior to using any fitness equipment. Members and guests may waive this orientation.
· Members and guests are asked to bring a towel. Cardio equipment and benches must be wiped off after use.
· No chalk is allowed in the fitness center.
· There is a 20-minute limit on all cardio equipment during peak hours or when someone is waiting.
· Members are asked to allow others to work in between sets on strength training equipment.
· All cardio equipment should be returned to the start position.
· Free weight equipment should be returned to the racks.
Gymnasium Policy:
· Rules are posted. Please read and abide by them. MACC tries to allow maximum open-activity time for our members.
Children’s Social Play Policies:
· MACC will provide Children’s Social Play for members participating in Center activities. Times will vary on a seasonal basis and will be posted. Parents/Guardians are urged to use this privilege judiciously, for it is only available while members are participating in activities within the Center. We ask that parents/guardians use common sense about leaving their children in our Babysitting area if they are in poor health. The MACC staff does reserve the right to deny access to the children’s area if, in their opinion, the health or actions of the child will cause harm to other.
Locker Room and Shower Policies:
· Members and guests must bring their own locks. Locks are for daily use only. They will not be permitted to remain on overnight; any that do will be removed.
· Lockers and showers are for use by members and paying guests only. Children, ages 6 and older, must use locker rooms designated for their gender.
· Members and guests must bring their own soap and towels.
Valuables:
· The MACC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property. Members and guests are encouraged to lock valuables in a locker. Lost and found items will be kept at the Membership Desk for one week only.
